This is a game made with RPG Maker MZ that follows a young woman that is trying to cope with her life being turned around as the disease she suffers from now forces her to live a different life.
This is game is a work in progress that will receive updates until its completion. The current game takes players between 20 - 30 hours depending on expertise and familiarity with classic style RPGs. ...As well as a bit of RNG.
The game is a ATB battle RPG with an art style that will remind you of earlier Final Fantasy games like IV, VI, and IX.
There are multiple characters to play as that will come and go in your party.
Several different locations to discover across five continents once the full game is complete.

Definitely a labor of love. There is a lot of story and you get to follow a wide cast of characters as they travel through the world of Avabel. There are optional bosses that grant certain characters power boosts and reveal more of the world's lore if you take the time to backtrack to different locations available to you at any point in the game. That means if a path is open to you, check it out even if you have gone there in the past. As of this review, there are 8 Chapters (~31.8 hrs, including backtracking for optional bosses), but the story itself is on-going. Some characters entering the party for part of the story might have fixed equipment that cannot be changed, but the game also gives stat boost items from certain battles (particularly with bosses or rare encounters), and those can be used on any party members. Sometimes you will have more than four characters in the party, so you can decide who will be fighting in battles (and the other members still gain experience). Different characters have voice lines in battle and sometimes out of battle, and there are cutscenes with visuals that help illustrate what happens at key moments in the story and give you an idea of how…1 found this helpful

Short Adventure has been a fun game to play with an intriguing story. I normally don't play turn based games but the story has been the reason I come back and continue to play it. If you're into mysterious, sometimes a bit tear jerking, sassy, and intricate story telling give it a shot you will enjoy the thrilling ride. Plus who doesn't love to play as amazing women!
So I’ve been playing this game for a good while now and I have to say. The dev did an amazing job with the. The music is great. The story is pulling me in the more I play the game and the combat flows really well. It feels similar to world of final fantasy. I love it. The one thing I wish I had in the game is a quest log. So that I can keep track of current and finished quests. That’s it. Other than that, it’s a great game. UPDATE: Upon looking through the menu the question log I was asking for is already there. Man I feel dumb lol. But other than that everything said stands.
Meh, looks Pokemon. nice audio and game. but very confuse
