if someone shouted "MAYDAY MAYDAY VERY BAD VERY BAD o_o" while my patient was having a heart attack i'm not sure how well i'd fare either. on a serious note, educational and great. patient died within the first minute. ME HAS MATADO! 😁

SimShock2025 is a very unusual little simulation game, mainly because it turns medical shock treatment into something that actually feels like a game. I control a patient simulation and have to recognize what is happening before using the available interventions to try to stabilize the situation. I liked the idea because it is very different from the usual management and strategy games I come across. The core gameplay is basically a large collection of buttons connected to the patient's changing condition. Different scenarios require different responses, and I have to watch the monitors while deciding what to do next. I enjoyed the constant feeling of having to react because the situation can change quickly. Cardiac arrest events can also force me to respond immediately, which gives the otherwise simple interface some tension. There are several different shock scenarios to work through, including cardiogenic, hemorrhagic and distributive shock. Each one changes the kind of problem I am dealing with, so I cannot simply memorize one universal solution and repeat it every time. Barely makes any sense, but pretty fun for a wannabe medical expert like me. At least it lets you focus on one patient unlike that buggy vital signs mess
