About Slamoids!

Slamoids is a small, re-playable, single player arcade score-chaser. It's a twin stick shooter in which the player must dodge and shoot incoming slamoids while at the same time avoid touching the ever shrinking, growing, and moving red ring that surrounds them. Each time a slamoid crashes into the player, 1 life is lost. If the user touches the red ring, they lose all lives and it’s game over.

I have to give this game an A+++ There were some issues and the team listened and even fixed the issues. A developor that takes the time to listen to people is amazing! The graphics are amazing and the music chosen goes along well with this game. For the price of the game what be wrong. A++++++ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgj7OVkZ3dU&t=9s

Slamoids! Is a really simple twin stick shooter by a husband and wife team. They also put out Star-Pit Starship. That was fine for being a dollar and Slamoids! is also fine for being a dollar. It looks like this studio is focusing on budget titles. So in Slamoids! you’re in an arena where the slamoids come in from all directions and you need to shoot them. The catch is you’re trapped inside a red circle that no matter how many lives you have will instantly end the run. So the trick is that you need to watch for the slamoids coming at you and also stay inside the red circle. It takes a lot of concentration to watch for everything and also shoot. It’s purely a mental game of how much you can do and it’s compelling. It’s frustrating when your run ends early from hitting the circle but you only have yourself to blame. Also note that there is another layer to this. The slamoids give different points based on color. From lowest to highest It goes blue, green, purple, then gold. So even while you’re trying to stay in the circle you’re also trying to shoot at the gold slamoids. However, this is a foolish tactic since there’s no time limit. Focusing on staying alive is much more important…

Wonderful little game! I'm not normally a big fan of high-score arcade shooters, but this one is so well crafted that I was hooked. The color scheme and effects are spot-on, just enough to pull you in but not overwhelming or distracting. Above all the balance of the game is what makes it a must-play. The Slamoids take just the right amount of hits to destroy. Not so much that it feels unfair, but not so few that it isn't a challenge. The developer really hit the sweet spot, and that's hard to do! The unlockable characters add some good depth and something to shoot for beyond just high score. That was key to replayability for me. Also the sound effects suit the game perfectly, with the Golden Slamoids making a metal clang that makes you long to shoot the next one that comes flying by. Very satifsying. No game is without some room for improvement, so if I were to make any suggestions it would be to upgrade the character art a little bit (the slamoids are gorgeous, but the characters feel a little less so at times) and maybe add a few more missions, even if they didn't unlock characters. Having a "Mission Log" which included some other potential achievements like "Destroy only 20 La…
