Splash (2018)

"Splash" is a badly made low poly third person arena shooter slapped together with Unity... I don't think this is an asset flip because the game assets look really bad. All you do in this game is run around a small arena and shoot enemy sheeps from third person perspective and see how high your score can get. I guess creating content for video games is hard, so I can see why some amateur devs don't bother. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Игра Splash – это яркая и динамичная аркада, которая увлекла меня с первых минут. Простая, на первый взгляд, механика – поливать разноцветной краской платформы, чтобы захватить территорию – на деле оказывается весьма увлекательной и тактически глубокой. Нужно не только быстро реагировать, но и продумывать свои действия, чтобы перехитрить соперников. Графика в игре минималистичная, но очень приятная, а сочные цвета создают ощущение праздника. Музыкальное сопровождение отлично дополняет атмосферу, бодрит и подстегивает к победе. Splash предлагает несколько режимов игры, в том числе одиночную кампанию и мультиплеер, что добавляет реиграбельности. Особенно порадовала возможность играть с друзьями, устраивая красочные баталии за право владения картой. Иногда простые игры, как эта, оказываются наиболее захватывающими и приносящими максимум удовольствия. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет весёлую и ненавязчивую игру, чтобы расслабиться и приятно провести время.

This game was great but unfortunately cut short due to no multiplayer mode and such a small map. I think this game has lots of potential but is not fully ready to be on Steam. I liked this game but will not be returning till further updates. I would like to play this with my friends but this is only made with bots and has not fully been created. I suggest you try it but understand that this game is not the best but is okay if you enjoy games that are just bots that do not get harder as you progress through the waves.
