i personally found it too difficult. i got confused just following the walkthrough, alot of back and forth. if you were to play without a walkthrough i honestly dont even know how you would figure out whats going on

I can easily recommend this game if you like Skutnik's previous work. It's expansive, the graphics are better than ever, and the puzzles are of medium difficulty. Personally, it gave me almost 24hrs of total playing time before I solved it, a solid value for the price. Now if you don't know Skutnik's work, I'd heavily recommend first trying his Daymare Town and Submachine series, which you can do for free at his website (https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/games/), or right here (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1564790/Submachine_Legacy/). To be frank, I'm only a mid-tier fan of Mateusz' work, and unsurprisingly, there were areas of this game I certainly enjoyed, and areas which either bored or frustrated me. Let's do some pros & cons: - PRO: As said, the artwork is just delightful, with its mix of abstraction, looseness, mysteriousness, but also high-detail. CON: Much of it is non-interactive window dressing that feels kind of empty, as if there was little real world-building behind the scenes. I finished the game but still don't know what's going on, some puzzles don't even have any hints and they took a long time to solve.

This is a fun game. I'm a fan of Mateusz Skutnik's previous point-and-click games (Daymare Town and Submachine). Slice of Sea adds more depth by adding a controlled character to the mix changes how the point-and-click is played when the perspective gets shifted as you move.

So fun. It was a combination of hidden figures and puzzles.
