Small Cave Action

Small Cave Action is a very short 3D action game built around getting through small cave stages and finding a way out. The idea is really simple. I move through each cave, deal with enemies and obstacles, collect the important items and try to reach the exit. The stages are designed to be finished quickly, so this is much more of a game I can pick up for a few minutes than something I am going to sit with for hours. I actually like that about it because it knows what it is trying to be. The controls are easy to understand and I can get into the action without having to learn a complicated system first. The caves are small enough that I can quickly work out where I need to go, but there are still things in the way that stop me from simply walking straight to the exit. Enemies and little environmental tricks give the stages something to deal with, and collecting the required items gives me a reason to explore instead of just rushing through. The game is also single player and completely free, which makes the short format much easier to accept. What I like most is the way the game keeps everything compact.
