Even though it has a fresh coat of paint, it's still a 20 year old game at heart. Meaning there's inexplicable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thrown in for some reason. You will get insta killed by spikes or falling rocks, and then have to repeat entire boring time-consuming sections again. If you die during a boss fight you will then have to spend the next 5-10mins to even reach the location of the boss fight again, and it's not even fun, it's just infuriating Oh you accidentally took damage by one enemy on the way to a boss fight? Well now you'll die in 2 hits instead of the 3, and have to repeat. the. whole. section. again. No wonder only 10% of players have beaten this 4 hour game ON EASY MODE Don't play this

Não vou mentir, o jogo e bem irritante numas partes, definitivamente o jogo não envelheceu bem, mais sinceramente ainda assim foi bem divertido, foi legal ver como os jogos evoluíram. E esse que já foi considerado o Indie mais popular do mundo, o jogo que abriu os olhos do mundo aos indies, hoje infelizmente foi esquecido, porem apesar dos pesares o jogo ainda vale apena, e realmente uma experiência positiva jogar jogos assim de vez em quando.

One of the greatest platformer adventure games of all time. I first played the original translated version of Amaya Daisuke's original freeware version and fell in love with it. There have been many versions over the years but the 2026 version of Cave Story+ may just be the best way to play for new and old players. Toggles for original graphics, neo-classic (based on the DSiWare version I believe) and the new plus versions, 5 different soundtrack options including the original tracks and samples from Daisuke's original plus a Famicom rendition, metal cover, remastered and plus version. There's even options to switch between the original exact engine behaviour and a revamped version. Oh there's also challenge stages, achievements and two player coop with unlockable characters! TLDR; If you like a good adventure platformer, are a fan of games that don't need to hold your hand get Cave Story+! Fans of the 2D Zelda games, Jazz Jackrabbit, Apogee's classics like Crystal Caves or Bio Menace, or the Abe's Oddworld games this is a 10/10 would recommend.
