Spellwake

I've enjoyed playing every now and then, but it's honestly frustrating trying to figure out what anything actually does, especially if you don't play for a few months. A lot of things don't tell you what they do and there isn't a wiki, only a dropbox doc that is annoying to navigate and you have to sort through to actually understand anything. If you want to sort through a 106 page dropbox doc to understand what anything does, this game is for you! tldr; Great game with many hours of potential theory crafting builds and customization, held back by a lack of easily accessible mechanic explanations or a wiki.

Yucky UI is enough to stop playing lol. You can't even compare what you have equipped with what you just found. Takes a lot of scrolling and the map is just literally text and names only with nothing else but letters. Also end game is very confusing and not rewarding. Went full tank/reflect and would instadie to stuff in weird ways I couldn't explain still. Kind of a waste of time, but I bet there are some fun builds if you really wanna spend the time getting a headache with the UI.

Brothers I have been caught sleeping on this game for too long, yet no longer will I be under such delusions that better ARPGs currently exist on the market. Diablo WHAT? 🤮 Path of WHO? ❌ Spellwake 🤝✅ Thank you to the devs for this goofy adventure!

At first i wasnt the biggest fan. it seems clunky and weird. But after taking the time to understand the combos you can do with spells and attacks, and the unique items. even the crafting is super nice and indepth later on. highly recommending trying it and at least getting to level 100, and checking the gear that drops to see if you want to try that build style it could enable like you would with a unique in PoE. just finished all primary and almost done with secondary objectives. tried a few builds with how easy it is to respec, and the community and devs are very responsive and have given me a lot of hope for future improvements with the game.

Its a fun take on the genre, the things that hold it back is the graphics and the lack of ingame information/resources even if we just had an ability to hold shift to see what an affix does would be a huge improvement, there is alot of different builds/varieties you can make in the game and the devs are chill overall would recommend

never really leave reviews, but felt i had to for this one since it's small and good quality. super addicting arpg gameplay with tons of classes and skills. i was craving an arpg with more than just 4 classes. in this game progression is really quick but optimizing your build takes a long time, so that's the gameplay loop. lots of other arpgs might get a bit more of your time with slower progression, but realistically 99% of your time here is either grinding mobs for loot or thinking about how to optimize your build. i've rolled probably more than 5 characters and leveled them up to 100 or so just to try different builds or variations of my build. there are free respecs until level 50 (which you can get in like 15 min) and then limited free respecs after that. if you're looking for an arpg where you can get straight to theorycrafting builds, you'll probably enjoy this one for at LEAST a few hours.
