About Grimoire: Manastorm
✦ AI summary
Battle for a legendary artifact across multiple magical classes and thousands of spell combinations in this free multiplayer wizard FPS where strategy and tactical spell selection matter as much as reflexes. Master six distinct schools of magic across competitive modes like territory control and free-for-all, or test your skills solo against escalating enemy waves.
As ruin rises from the south, two great houses become locked in a bitter struggle for the Grimoire; a powerful artifact that ushered in the Dawn of Magic, brought destruction to an empire, and which now heralds civil war.
Grimoire: Manastorm is a free, multiplayer FPS in which powerful wizards battle for territory and prestige. Choose from six classes of magic, customize your spellbook with dozens of abilities, and prove yourself worthy of the Grimoire's power in battles as cunning as they are fierce.
Intelligent Combat
With six classes of magic and thousands of possible spell loadouts, winning requires more than just fast reactions and good aim. A truly skilled wizard must understand the strengths and limitations of their own abilities, as well as how to counter and exploit those of their opponents.
Master Your Class

- Conquest -Control territory and even bring the environment down on your enemies.
- Free-for-All - Chaos reigns supreme in this classic, all-out fight to the death.
- Survival - Hold off waves of increasingly powerful enemies in this single-player challenge.
Always Free-to-Play
Grimoire: Manastorm is always free-to-play with two rotating classes available to use at any given time. Classes and additional spells can be unlocked forever by purchasing them or spending Arcane Points accrued through gameplay.

I love the idea of this game. It's a shame that it looks horrible and the gameplay is very janky.10 found this helpful

Grimoire: Manastorm, developed and published by Omniconnection, is a free-to-play multiplayer action game that blends the mechanics of a first-person shooter with the chaotic energy of magical combat. Instead of traditional firearms and explosives, players enter the battlefield as powerful wizards armed with a diverse arsenal of spells drawn from various schools of magic. The result is a competitive arena experience where lightning bolts, firestorms, ice shards, and mystical barriers replace bullets and rockets. The game’s concept immediately sets it apart from the typical shooter landscape, leaning heavily into fantasy themes while maintaining the fast pace and reflex-driven gameplay that fans of arena combat expect. The core gameplay functions similarly to classic multiplayer shooters, placing players in large, open arenas where quick movement and tactical positioning determine survival. However, the combat system revolves around casting spells rather than aiming weapons. Each wizard can equip multiple spells that function as offensive attacks, defensive abilities, or mobility tools. Players must balance these abilities carefully, managing cooldowns and timing their attacks to m…
Dead game. The game is laggy, and all classes are too alike, there is not that much variety. Not that you would find anyone to play with those classes. But all these don't matter, you know why? Because I paid for this game back in 2015 and never played it, and now it is free and abandoned...
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
While this predates the "Steam Direct" driven surge in asset flips glutting Steam these days, it's still got all the look and feel of an asset flip... a basic PvP/botmatch arena (largely doesn't even work against bots). The usual tacticool military theme was swapped out with a spellcasting theme, but if you're looking for a Heretic/Hexen type shooter, you'll be sorely disappointed... this is a janky mess and it's a miracle it ever had players (although there are some reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store, so that may have something to do with it). So, "Grimoire: Manastorm" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition am…
