Standoff Beat is a fast-paced rhythm-based fighting game that combines the concept of rock-paper-scissors with the adrenaline of a 1v1 duel. On every beat, you must make a choice : shoot, reload, dodge, or cast a special ability unique to your fighter. Timing and decision-making are crucial as each beat brings you closer to victory—or defeat.

The game's main concept is actually pretty fun to play.. The different songs make it much more tense and the hp system really brings that game point ass-clenching every round. I see potential, hope to see more characters !3 found this helpful
I'd like to start by stating that I received the game for free and I won't review for the sake of being nice, but more to help the developer(s) behind Standoff Beat. I was reluctant at first seeing how the game looked (it felt short and looked like just another beat style game) but when I tried it, it was much better-- fast-paced than I anticipated... and I really enjoyed it! I joined the discord server and I immediately got to try a very early build of the game even before it comes out on steam. The developer(s) were kind enough to listen to feedback and not only make the appropriate changes before launch, but also accommodate our tiny needs. Standoff beat has a lot to offer and I'm eager to see it grow as they announced many times that there would be more in the future builds and I am looking forward to follow their updates. The images and previews only shows one character at the time of writing this, but I know they have dozens more planned (unless their schedule changed) as well as more mechanics (as per my understanding).
