About BEAT 'EM DOWN

Are you ready to beat enemies to the rhythm of the music and get fantastic weapons? Let's go!

In Beat 'Em Down, the core mechanic is shoot to the beat by killing enemies. These enemies also perform their actions to the beat, so you have to move, jump and dash in a frenetic gameplay to survive in the song and level you choose.

Your goal is to unlock all the 5 different levels, achieving the highest possible score while you upgrade your weapon through challenges. Each playthrough is different and unique, as you can choose one of the three branches you want and upgrade it. Make your own gameplay!

Features:

  • Play and shoot to the beat.
  • Play with songs of our library or any song you want.
  • Select one of the three branches and upgrade it: the Bounce Weapon, the Zig-Zag Weapon and the Dispersion Weapon.
  • Complete challenges to the rhythm of the music.
  • Battle enemies with unique behaviours.
  • Play 5 different style levels with its own music feature.
  • 20 library songs with leaderboards.
  • Achievements.

"BEAT 'EM DOWN" is a sincerely made attempt at trying to make a shooter rhythm game, which has been done before by AAA studios and it was a bad idea for them, and it's a much worse idea when you marry that terrible idea to amateur tier technical delivery. The lack of polish, low poly assets and general poor gameplay here is a firm deterrent for all. Basically, Quake does not need to be more Guitar Hero. It's a bad idea. It ends badly. This is not fun. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Be…

Well met, weary traveler, as we embark upon the realm of Steam reviews, where wisdom and whimsy intertwine like the strands of a chaotic potion. But fret not, for I bring forth not just a review, but a prophecy of the future, a glimpse into the alternate dimension where games are played with spoons and controllers are but relics of the past. The Steam Reviewer's Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse: Step 1: Preparation Gather thy provisions: a trusty keyboard, a mouse with a steady click, and a screen that reflects the depths of your soul. For in the digital wasteland, these shall be your faithful companions, steadfast in the face of crashing servers and endless loading screens. Step 2: Navigation Navigate through the desolate landscape of Early Access titles and abandoned forums. Beware the trolls and the false prophets, for they lurk in the shadows like loot-hungry goblins, ready to snatch your sanity at every turn. Keep a wary eye out for the lurking bots and the cheaters, those foul creatures that pollute the purity of our gaming realm. Step 3: Adaptation Adapt to the ever-changing world of patches and updates. Embrace the glitches, for they are but quirks in the grand tape…
