Suncore Chronicles: The Tower

I can't spot interactive objects, I can't save, I can't turn off the music separately, I don't have time to fully read the tutorial boxes, I can't like the GUI, I can't immerse myself in the broken English, I can't touch water. It's got loading screens, an invasive hud, juvenile quests, pacman-like lines of collectible tokens everywhere, and so on. It's not as bad as I possibly make it sound, and worth a try as you might like it more than I do. The main reason for me to give up quickly is that it unsettles my stomach with its camera changes, motion blurs and whatnot. It all could be improved, but it needs a drastic upgrade of the options menu.

"Suncore Chronicles: The Tower" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is a bunch of fantasy themed game assets slapped onto a basic third person brawler/hack and slash game template, all thanks to the Unity Asset Store (have you seen the developers other games? There's no way this guy went out and hired a team to do these assets or overnight came up with all this stuff). It's not free, either, this is just an advertisement, you have to unlock the full asset flip because all the content is paywalled, locked behind paid DLC. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Perhaps I'm missing something, but this game seems to be radically unfinished. Beware, once the game starts there are no Settings to go into, Don't choose anything over 1920x1080 or the font on the screen is TINY... illegible. Both controllers controlled the same player. Couldn't resolve this for LOCAL no matter what I tried. Furthermore, controls are reversed... and again, there are no settings to adjust. Too bad. It's a disaster.
