This is a 2022 overhaul of a 2018 game full of 2011 memes, with jokes ranging from "epic!!" to "fatality lol". Gameplay is a bit primitive, lacking much depth to it (compared to, say, Chameleon Run) even for an auto-runner. You can choose a helper item at the beginning of the stage (such as double-jump or extra life) but those are one-time use consumables. You lose them upon death but they cost a LOT of in-game coins to purchase (several full minutes worth of farming just to buy one). It's not good design honestly, and wasting items on random deaths is frustrating so you end up just not using them at all. Still, it's a decent time killer and obtaining 100% achievements took some effort. I'd put a Mixed review if Steam would allow me.

[th]Review for Governator Gaming - Steam Deck approved![/th]

If you like what you see in the previews, then you won't be disappointed! Works like a charm on the Steam Deck and perfect for 5-10 minutes plays between meetings or while waiting for the bus. I loved that the game offers 2 different graphic (and audio) styles and the bonus "Alpaca's Redemption" minigame is a real treat. Disclaimer: I got a copy of this game for review by the developer and it doesn't change what I think: I genuinely had fun playing on my Deck. Game time played shown on Steam does not reflect reality.

Superola Champion Edition is a fast-paced runner-platformer developed by Undercoders and published by JanduSoft that embraces absurd humor, colorful design, and arcade-style challenge. At its core, the game follows Superola, a burger-loving llama determined to recover stolen hamburgers from a bizarre alien invasion led by hotdog-shaped extraterrestrials. The premise is unapologetically ridiculous, and that playful tone carries through every aspect of the experience. Rather than leaning into deep narrative storytelling, the game thrives on momentum, personality, and tight, reflex-driven gameplay. The structure revolves around more than seventy handcrafted levels spread across multiple themed worlds. Each stage is built around continuous forward movement, requiring players to jump, dodge, and react quickly to obstacles and enemies placed along the path. Unlike traditional platformers that allow slow, careful exploration, Superola emphasizes flow. Success depends on maintaining rhythm, learning level layouts, and committing to movement with confidence. While the core mechanic seems simple—run and jump—the increasing complexity of hazards, enemy placement, and environmental traps dema…
