About Hotdog Quest: One With Everything
Explore over seven realms in search of the elusive cylindrical meats, from the heights of Mustard Mountain to the ominous caverns of the Underdark.
In the course of your journey you will uncover secrets both hilarious and unnerving, as well as a plethora of inscrutable video game references.
Across the many realms you will encounter friendly NPCs and challenging platforming.
NPCs have small side-quests for you to complete within their realm, such as finding a cowboy's lost cow or helping to harvest grapes in a vineyard.
Help people with their problems and they will help you back, whether it is with information, powerups or coins.
Coins can also be collected in the world, encouraging exploration off the main path and giving a helping hand if you can't figure out the way to go.
As well as running and jumping, you're also able to drive vehicles such as cars and planes to reach areas you wouldn't be able to on foot!
Play with powerups such as double jump, dash, and glide.
The game is highly stylised, with a low-res low-framerate look and a reduced color palette. Adding to this is a retro soundtrack and bit crushed dialogue audio.
This stylisation can be turned off in the settings, and NPC dialogue is shown in a subtitle box at the bottom of the screen.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players consistently praise the game's distinctive artistic style and charming aesthetic as its strongest appeal, with many finding the simple platformer gameplay surprisingly engaging and fun despite its deliberately quirky, low-poly presentation. However, complaints focus on some frustrating design issues, particularly poor control mechanics in certain sections like the plane level, along with a lack of level-select functionality that can create soft locks, and the concern that the experience relies too heavily on visual novelty rather than substantive gameplay depth.

Best cow rolling mechanics I've seen this year, 10/101 found this helpful
This game wouldn't be worth even looking at if it wasn't for the aesthetic. You can turn it off, sure... But why would you? HQOwE is about 30 minutes of dumb gameplay that will make you smile. That all being said, this game has some dumb downfalls as well. The plane? Jesus it is way harder to control than it needs to be. Also to save yourself some time, don't just skip to the end on the plane level. You can't finish the next level, and there is no way to go back a level. You just soft lock yourself. Like I said earlier as well, this game is good because of the look. It's this weird, quirky, cute filter that makes the game stand out way more than I was expecting. You look at any screenshot or video of this game and you sit there like, "huh...". And that's what hooks you in. If you turn it off, all the charm immediately goes away, and some of the levels secrets or simplicity reveal themselves and takes away whatever fun that you can find in this game. If you can, buy it on sale. Don't pay full price for this ♥♥♥♥ post of a game. Or buy it, beat it in under two hours, and do whatever you're gonna do. I can't stop you, you're an adult. Honestly?Goes so hard. One of the most goated glizzy-themed games for all the glizzy loving gamers. The glizzies in this game are delicious. It's a great and memorable game. After I played it, I had dreams about playing it. That's not even a joke, I really did. It's a great speedrun as well. Highly recommend it.1 found this helpful
The game is very simple, you go through a few low poly locations of moderate interest with basic platforming mechanics, and grab whatever random object microsoft sam needs. It's not particularly funny. As they're charging money for it I can't recommend anyone buy the joke game.
I played this on stream as a joke expecting to make fun of it. The devs were going for that as well considering they promote it as "The Fault of Semble Knights." It's actually fun and plays really well. It's a simple platformer. Even has greybox still in it. I enjoyed it way more than I should have and it might be one of the biggest surprises I've experienced playing unknown games in a hot minute.
