Welcome to Hot Dog Runner! Simon's on a mission - collect as many hot dogs and power ups as he can, for the best possible score! Will you be THE Hot Dog Runner?!
You are Simon - a ravenous but oddly adorable little man who desperately wants one thing in life - HOT DOGS!
On your journey you must avoid obstacles like walls, pits and logs, while collecting power ups that will suck all the surrounding hot dogs to you, or destroy obstacles in your path!
Race against your personal best and become THE HOT DOG RUNNER!
Scoring and power ups:
- A Hotdog will get you 1 point.
- A Golden Hotdog will get you 5 points.
- The magnet attracts hotdogs towards the player.
- The shield makes the player invincible against obstacles that shine red (barrels & crates). Collect 10 bonus points by destroying an obstacle in invincible mode!

I've done a lot of hours in this game, it was a fun, addictive little game, however with the recent updates, the micro-stuttering has become unbearable, to the point where it is very difficult to play and a bunch of new bugs have started happening (i5 12600k and rtx 3080, so it's not a hardware issue), plus it's also evident on my kids computers which are also more than capable with ryzen 5600 and 9600x). Most frustrating of all is the new leaderboard, great idea in theory, however because my high score previously was 3837 it's preventing me getting on the leaderboard, I'm fine for that score to not be counted given how much things have changed, however because there is no way to reset the high score, and it appears I can't get on the leaderboard until I beat that high score, I can't get on the board at all. I managed to get to 3517 on one run, so close and second highest according to the leaderboard at time of writing, but it didn't register because it didn't beat my previous high score. Very frustrating, and because of the stuttering and bugs, it's so difficult to get that high again. Only have one big problem. There is a glitch where sometimes it sends you up a stairs and you keep flying and multiple of my good runs have ended because I have no control and it sends me into a hole or a wall. It hurts....
The game is great, it's a no brainer but brings plenty of enjoyment whilst making number go up. Would love to see this run on low end, maybe the choice to switch from full screen to windowed & the ability to lower the resolution
