Surge (2016)

Surge is a virtual reality audiovisual experience developed and published by House of Secrets that focuses on immersion, atmosphere, and artistic presentation rather than traditional gameplay mechanics. Instead of offering objectives, progression systems, or interactive challenges, the experience invites players to embark on a mesmerizing journey through a series of abstract digital landscapes synchronized to music. It represents an experimental approach to virtual reality, exploring how the medium can be used to create emotional and sensory experiences beyond conventional gaming. Music videos are awesome in VR!

One of the many tech demos in the early days of VR. This is a pretty cool music experience that lasts around 5 minutes or so. Compatible with Valve Index and a pretty nice showpiece for its VR specialised speakers: https://www.valvesoftware.com/en/index/deep-dive/ear-speakers Free, so definitely worth what I paid for it and a fond memory of those early awe inspiring days of HTC Vive and "mainstream" VR.
