SWOLLEN TO BURSTING UNTIL I AM DISAPPEARING ON PURPOSE

One of those little left-field indie titles that gets jammed in your brain real hard after playing. Heavy themes but lots of good jokes and goofs and gags along the way—kinda like life. A very light RPG twist to this one, but more for fans of exploration games and fetchquestathons (Yume Nikki, Lisa the First, Farethere City, etc.)

Content warning, talk about depression and self hatred and all that kind of stuff, it's inherent to the game's content with certain endings but also myself [spoiler] There's something special about a game like this, about how it sort of makes life just seem like a series of tasks from one to the next. But it helped me, it helped me to realize i'm not quite alone in that feeling of self hatred and sadness, of depression and anxiety, those kinds of panic attacks, your heart beating in your chest feeling like your entire world is ending, feeling like you can't look at something or someone, and feeling like you need to get out there, you can't look at them, or they'll paralyze you with fear even if it's a person you care about and love, and you don't know why you're reacting like that, but you know that you've got to get away....and then you're lonely....and that loneliness is an effect that has effects on your mental health, and your physical health, and you just want to do anything to get rid of that loneliness...and you have thoughts of wanting to just jump in front of a train or something, anything to get rid of it, of those feelings, all these horrible feelings, like feeling …

Extremely good game. Highly recommend, don't read ♥♥♥♥ and go in blind. Only advice I have is the [spoiler]compass head is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mandatory for navigating the maze[/spoiler].

I have some mixed feelings with this game, on one side the visuals and music are superb, the 3D is really good and it's very Yume Nikki if you ignore all the text. The effects are really creative, there are some nice puzzles and it gets genuinely unsettling at times. I was having a lot of fun at the beginning but this game devolved a lot into pixel hunting, that is no strange on a Yume Nikki like game, but it is very annoying and can be a huge time sink doing nothing but walking and clicking on random stuff until you find something under very specific and often ridiculous conditions. I did finished or at least so I thing because it is very vague about...everything, there is a lot to be polished but then again it's a free indie game that does excel on a lot of other stuff so I guess that can be overlooked. A lot of it's strengths become an issue because they overstay their welcome. Ultimately if you are here for a good story and all that comes with good psychological RPGmaker horror, you gonna have a good time, on the other if you wanna have fun with a game...well, maybe not gonna enjoy it as much, still I recommend to at least give it a try.

Hmm, I enjoyed it initially quite a bit, but it started to infuriate me with it’s obtuse BS after a while and I needed a guide to finish it. And then it's ending was so vague and something to do with depression or something and I just didn’t care anymore. It's free though, so give it a go if you like the vibe.

This game is not fun and is literally not playable if you can't handle discussions/references to mental health, self-harm, gender dysphoria. But still a good game
