Tank Squad

Very poorly optimized....still, somehow.

It's fun... but the process of aiming while in the single player gunners sight view is extremely painful. It's unreasonably low sensitivity and the sensitivity settings aren't fixing it. It's not a question of low rotation - the turret is capable of rotating much faster from the out-of-tank view, it's more that I'm having to drag, pick up my mouse and drag again to move millimeters. There's no need for such a ridiculously low sensitivity and it genuinely detracts from the enjoyability of the game. I don't want to swap to the out of turret view just to do broad aiming, I want to do that inside the tank turret where it's fun.

The performance is honestly so unstable that I just cannot recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a supercomputer.

Runs pretty poorly for what it is but the worst part is you can't get rid of the clutter (infantry etc) and just have tank vs tank battles. You also can't adjust enemy force, it is hardcoded by the mission (no mission editor) so no Panzer IV's vs T34s, you always have to pick the Tiger. The repair system is both very simplistic and completely unnecessary. Game's rather junky and in need of a lot of development, the controls are rather daunting, there's not much strategy or tactics, just a giant slog and single-shot kills if you have the penetration indicator enabled or single-shot deaths if you don't. Getting hit and scoring a hit is not as audibly rewarding as in Hell Let Loose.

Great game, the addition to fix your vehicles after battle is great.
