About Tesla Legacy

With the downfall of the genius Nikola Tesla, all his proprieties were auctioned, among them the Wardenclyffe facility. Under this facility, Tesla’s technology was secretly used to create powerful combat machines. Your task is simple: eliminate all robots. Put on your Virtual Reality goggles to experience a new combat system based on the power of electricity, with a lightning gun and a Tesla coil. Explore this secret facility, play with lightning, and defeat all combat robots. You will be getting new upgrades each fight, but every time it is going to be more challenging.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/OGvD2YENvQs Very close call, but I decided to give this game a neutral recommendation. However, this game does have several questionable design decisions. The biggest thing is that this game is teleport only, with no smooth or snap turning. So you have to turn in real life & you will probably trip over your cable at some point unless you have some sort of cable management system in place. Tesla Legacy is a robot arena shooter (with electricity). You basically solve a simple puzzle on how to turn on the elevator and then figure out an even easier puzzle on how to open the door. This is not a puzzle game. The whole point is to open up the arena where you will face off against robots. There's flying drones, jumping spider robots, & bigger pod robots that can shoot projectiles at you. I found the best strategy was to run & gun & turn, being careful not to trip over your cable wires. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any issues or bugs. However, I didn't find any settings available. I think the combat was the best …

Tesla Legacy is a paid VR game. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. Loaded into the tutorial lobby. Has instructions as you go. It has 8 steam achievements Maybe buy this if you have an Index or Occulus. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program.ViVE VR curator group

Really interesting combat concept, very challenging at times (Some of the fights took me at least 10 tries) but always enjoyable. If you are really good you can finish the game in less than an hour, but it should take way longer. Also there is some replay value for those wanting to get the last two (insanely hard) achievements. I'd say it's worth the price!

This game is very boring and difficult to play. I almost always find something fun in VR games, but with this one, I literally suffered from boredom. If you want to give this game a chance, I recommend watching FastLawyer's video first at https://youtu.be/OGvD2YENvQs. It seems like he's enjoying it. There's no accounting for taste, after all. :)

Combat was pretty janky (and that's pretty much your very first task after a basic puzzle), requiring you to dodge a bunch of enemies without being able to see them (because the longer you take, the more they duplicate), and in the span of less than 20 minutes I was extremely confused by what I was meant to be doing or where I should be going. The reload mechanic is also pretty annoying with being a multi-step process, and it was unclear how many shots I had and when to reload. It's really unfortunate, because the premise of this sounded really interesting, but it just doesn't deliver.
