"Tesla Breaks the World!" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. It's an older game from 2015. It's a venerable 10 years old at the time of this review, but there is 4K support and a rudimentary, if unsatisfying set of configuration options. So, on the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. For starters, before getting too deep into the technicals, this is yet another case of an amateur developer grave robbing Nikolai Tesla in a brazen act of intellectual and creative bankruptcy. At least they left Lovecraft alone this time... but I suspect if Lovecraft and Tesla didn't exist, indie devs would go bankrupt overnight. More bankrupt. Poor graphics and awkward controls. difficulty feels artificially inflated to complicate gameplay and the plot is dull and predictable. really disappointed with this one. not worth the time.
