About Tezcatlipoca
Tezcatlipoca is a third-person horror game inspired by genre classics with “tank” controls, such as Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil. However, unlike those titles, combat is not a core mechanic — the focus here is on exploration, puzzle-solving, and a chilling atmosphere.

Story
Minerva returns to her hometown, Tezcatlipoca, after receiving a mysterious phone call. Her family hasn’t answered any messages or calls. Worried and confused, she takes the last bus to the village... but after falling asleep, she awakens in a nearly abandoned town shrouded in unsettling fog.Now trapped in a place forgotten by time, Minerva must decide:Will she dive into the shadows of the past, or escape before it’s too late?

I don't review games, publicly at least. Seeing as this doesn't have many reviews (just 4), I'll give my first impressions. Tezcatlipoca is an intriguing Mexican Survival Horror game with a demphasis in combat, but the liminal vibes, the amateur voice acting, and intriguing lore keeps me wanting to play. Flawless Steam Deck (OLED) performance with 60 fps, 18w drain, and full controller support. It has a simple art style that is effective in creating that classic survival horror vibe. Pair that with the fixed camera, tank controls, and unsettling music, it passes my vibe check. The survival horror gameplay is still exploration focused, but there is no combat. You just run (sneak?) away from enemies, but I haven’t encountered many. There still are healing items, so it’s a little different from your generic walking sim (psychological) horror game. I felt genuine spooks whenever an enemy surprisingly appeared. Unsettling music plays in the background, adding to this weird vibe. Some horror in plain sight with ghost people, but they seem harmless. I have encountered some issues and bugs. No map does make navigation confusing, but I don’t think the town is that big, so it’s manageab…7 found this helpful
Nice horror experience. Enemies are a bit annoying, since they mostly just rush you and you can't fight back. But the visuals are great and the story has some interesting twists.
Controles de tanque y un pueblo maldito, ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Le falta un poco de trabajo técnico pero los acertijos son muy buenos y el ambiente atrapante. Por unos cuantos dólares vale la pena cada centavo.
really loved the Silent Hill vibes and history, the lack of ways to defend yourself really helps to the horror atmosphere
this game runs great on steam deck, and has great eerie atmosphere where you are a girl returning to her hometown only to find it almost deserted with strange creatures roaming the empty streets. There is no combat but every enemy has a way to avoid their attack, and all the puzzles are doable but I suggest searching through everything if you're stuck. The developer also has a walkthrough guide on their youtube channel (LuQui Games) if you're like me and couldn't figure out what to do towards the end of the game.
I'm linking this game so far! Right away gave me RE vibes. The atmosphere feels so dark and full of lore, with challenging puzzles and an immersive experience! Recommended.
