About That Makes Sense

That Makes Sense is a puzzle game where you define the rules...yes, like that other game you know.

The game takes place on a hex grid, allowing phrases to be formed in interesting patterns, right, left, up, down, compact, diagonal, wandering, branching, meandering.

Puzzles can be larger than the screen, use the camera to zoom and pan the puzzle.

Puzzles have multiple solutions. Find approaches to create, combine, and change phrases to meet each puzzle's challenges. Test yourself to see if you can solve puzzles in creative ways, beyond the predefined challenges! Gameplay is both familiar and new, making you think in new ways to solve the puzzles.
  • Game takes place on a hex grid, changing how you think about phrases and reusing words
  • Puzzles may be large, use the camera to zoom and pan
  • Multiple challenges in each puzzle, track your progress
  • Find your own unique solutions to the puzzles

Very fun and interesting game! It is a cool spin on puzzle games similar to it, such as Baba is You but with interesting twists of using hex movement and intricate rule structures!

"That Makes Sense" is a rather clever puzzle game where the words on the hex cells form the solution to the puzzle themselves, allowing you to somewhat define your goal as part of the puzzle mechanism. Another thing this has in common with Baba is You, this game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. This looks more like a mobile app or a browser game than a serious PC game... this is on t…

I haven't played much of it yet, because keyboard controls make my head hurt, but from what I've experienced (just the first two puzzles) it's a delightful game. I'm looking forward to the rest, and love the twist on Baba mechanics that do actually set this game apart :)
