Very, very good pure puzzle game. This is not just another basic Sokoban: every level has been carefully crafted to require a specific insight. Once you know what you need to do, it is quick and easy to put the idea into practice. This is the essence of good puzzle design. There is a hint system which gives a simplified version of the level, and meta-puzzles that require clever outside-the-box thinking. About 95% of the puzzles are great, only a few are too complex/tedious. I solved 135/137 levels and 8/17 meta-puzzles without any hints in 27 hours.1 found this helpful
Look past the basic graphics - While no game has yet come close to rivalling Stephen's Sausage Roll for 3D sokoban design, but this one might come the closest. The central gimmick of building custom spatial tools out of stick blocks is well-founded and well-developed, and i liked it enough to persevere to 100%. Features some fun meta-puzzles and the excellent Gain Insight hint system which I'm happy to see more games start to pick up.
This is a AAA puzzle game - compact levels, no unneeded parts, mechanics are deeply explored, levels (except intro to new mechancis) range from hard to extremely hard, overworld puzzles present, etc. You can safely expect a quality of Sausage roll/Monster's expedition from this game. Wonder if Draknek gonna notice this dev and pull him in.
Great puzzles. Reminds me of Block Buster Billy where you also link blocks together and toy around until you figure out the right layout and has overworld puzzles where each level is a block. Difficulty gives a proper challenge. Recommended.
I'm less than half way through, but want to give a thumbs up because it is a really REALLY good puzzle game. Very parsimonious design, but develops a large number of fun puzzles from a few mechanics. Pretty much every puzzle stumps you for a bit... but not too long. You feel like you're getting better at this variant of spatial reasoning, not just flailing and trying out every combo, so that's pretty satisfying. It has a nice overworld meta-puzzle layer too, which motivates/rewards completing the harder puzzles. May append additional thoughts once I near the end.
Pure puzzle bliss. Great puzzles clustered into related themes based on simple mechanics whose surprising depth is fully explored. Delightful overworld puzzles add extra challenge. All the usual puzzle amenities like infinite undo and overworld fast travel, plus the optional simplified puzzle hint system that I associate with Can of Wormholes. This is a no frills puzzle game that doesn't bother with graphic presentation or storytelling, but if you're into the SSS-era of exquisitely tailored puzzle design centered around a-ha revelations, you've come to the right place.
