✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's charming concept and interesting theme, but consistently criticize its poor technical execution, including low-quality graphics, unclear mechanics, and bugs like being stuck in menus. The gameplay itself—a tower defense survival horror hybrid with jumpscares—feels underdeveloped and overly simplistic to some, though a few find it genuinely enjoyable despite its rough edges.
no clue what i was supposed to do, got jumpscared and died.1 found this helpful
The game is very scuffed but it also lowkirkenuinely has a lot of charm and is kinda interesting. It is a bit expensive tho cus honestly they should be paying me to play it
"The Forest of Conx" is a badly made hybrid of tower defense and survival horror (it's not really, it's just a jumpscare critter). The concept is intrigueing but the technical delivery here is laughably bad. What do you do in the game? Put down some "towers" to protect your cabin from the jumpscare, keep the power on, boring platespinning stuff that is at best an incredibly weak ripoff of FNAF. The graphics aren't great, godawfully poor quality textures slathered on a low poly backdrop that probably took 5 minutes to make in Blender. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget a…
This game made me stub my two and it hurt :(
Oh my gosh this is so cool! I LOVE this theme and I'm cool with everything but one thing; I entered the extras menu and clicked the monsters dictionary (Sorry I don't fully remember the term for it) but I was stuck there and I didn't see a way to exit. I've only played for about 20 minuts now but I still really enjoyed it. Also IDK how but I got the near miss acheivment and Idk what I did considering I didn't have any weapons or other things etc etc.
really fun would recommend
