The Magister: The First Two Days gives you the chance to begin your investigation in this murder-mystery card-battler RPG. Build and customize your deck to fight in battles, or use ‘Tactical Diplomacy’ to pacify those who stand in your way. Gather clues and discover motives as you investigate the death of your predecessor. After enjoying the first two days make your way over to The Magister page and help unravel the mystery further and unmask the guilty culprit.

Randomly generated murder-mystery: A walkthrough won’t help here! The events, clues, motives, and murderer change with every playthrough. Only YOU can identify the guilty suspect.
Tactical card-based encounters: Your combat and negotiation skills are determined by the cards in your deck. Use a vast array of cards, such as ‘Heartstopper’, ‘Poison Slash’, ‘Weak Joke’, and ‘Long Talk’.
Pacify enemies for a peaceful outcome: Use ‘Tactical Diplomacy’ as an alternative to fighting and calm foes with your conversation cards to reduce their Rage level to 0.
Choose your Magister: Different Magisters come with their own specialities and flaws. From cunning alcoholic to intelligent insomniac – every variation defines a different adventure.
Recruit a human ally or furry companion: If needed, a Mercenary, Spy, or Sage can be recruited to assist in your investigation. You can also befriend one of the local cats or dogs to fight by your side in battles.
Set in a captivating fantasy world: You have 14 days to wander Silverhurst and befriend or intimidate its inhabitants as you race against time to unmask the murderer.Developed by Nerdook

Graphics: Okay. Gameplay: Nothing too new about the mechanics, in terms of card games. However, everything flows at a snail's pace. Text speed is still acceptable since you can speed up by clicking anywhere on the screen, but your character and the turn tracker during combat move like a grandma wearing a weighted coat. Seriously, I click to move from one end of the screen to the other and I'll have enough down time to finish half of my cup of coffee. 7.5/10 A procedurally generated mystery-RPG with CC battles. Good: - procedurally generated story is a good feature since you can theoretically play the game after the first run, maybe much later, and it will be a different experience - nice music - interesting combo of improving relationships with NPCs and collecting clues - adorable pets! I loved how a cat was pushing bandits around - customizable character builds So-so: - 2D gfx of locations are above average, characters are okay, the running animation of the main character is somewhat clunky Bad: - combat is simplistic - most cards are melee attacks yet enemies can be spread around the map - tutorial and onboarding are messy. For the first half an hour I wasn't sure what I was doing. And combat with cards was cryptic Overall, it's a nice game if you're more into RPGs and playing detective rather than pure TBS. There is certainly more text here than strategy, and it's well-written.
