About The Necklace of Blood
Based on the novel "El Collar de Sangre" by German Ramos Briñez, The Necklace of Blood is a two parts thriller visual novel.
The necklace of blood is a jewel which many would give their lives for, they don’t imagine the power and responsibility of owning it. The necklace has been cursed and bathed in the blood of Satan himself, the necklace was consecrated on the altars of death to cause the madness of men.
The evil one has sent a powerful Jackal to this dimension, his son, to be confused among men.
The mission of the Jackal is to enforce a prophecy written more than 200 years ago, which points to the moral and religious destruction of a great metropolis, New York.
To fulfill the objective, the Jackal recruits men, in different ways, and turns them into vassals at the service of darkness, to spread the plague.
An old secret organization, called "The Council", fights against the power of the Devil, and tries by all means to end the word of evil, written in black books.
This is the story of one of those men, manipulated by the black light of death, which induces him to become a vassal and commits him to the ultimate consequences.
It is a journey that will take emotions to the limit and make you reflect on the behavior of people in an environment dominated by vanity and consumerism, where moral values are a facade and ethics is a price as solid as personal convenience.

The Necklace of Blood is a kinetic, gory, not very long visual novel. Unfortunately, the translation is extremely poor, to such extent that my mind often began wandering. I had to make myself concentrate on it deciphering practically each sentence. It became some kind of discovery, but no period at the end of all sentences felt so annoying. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1754740182 Though I liked those parts in Latin which ideally suits everything infernal. Maybe Spanish version is not that terrible. I must admit some moments despite that terrible translation managed to touch me deeply. But it's absolutely unacceptable to release the game is such a state even if the idea has some potential. In such cases I always think how much time and effort were put into the game creation by the developers and even begin to feel sorry that I have to write a negative review. But I do believe that being an indie team is not an excuse to release this! One should invest in professional or at least good enough translators and editors. Art looks way too amateurish. There're lots of New York photos as backgrounds. On the one hand it was even exciting to look at them,…13 found this helpful
I've really tried my best, but I gave up after reaching the third act. There might be a decent story hidden somewhere in here, as it's apparently a literary adaptation, but the execution... Between the extremely, MS-Paint level poor drawings, unedited stock photos as backgrounds and the extremely poor English, it's just not worth it, even though I'm usually very forgiving when it goes to the presentation in VNs. This game is beyond amateurish and not something people should be charged money for. If it was a free VN, I could probably see past more of its faults or suggest reading it in Spanish (I imagine the original script reads significantly better), but as it is now, avoid it at all cost. -------- PS If you're interested in quality Western VNs, check out my curator page.7 found this helpful
