The Reject Demon: Toko Chapter 0 — Prelude

The only reason I don't recommend this is cus it's an abandoned project. Otherwise it's a great concept that has everything I like. Metal. Demons. GL. A good story. I'd love to see where the story goes but unfortunately it's not something that's coming. If that changes I guess I'll eat my foot or something. So as much as I'd love to say give this a try. I just can't right now.

I read this VN forever ago when the dev was still active and I really enjoyed it, it has a lot of charm and originality. I looked forward to seeing the rest of the story play out. Now it's been several years and this project is very much abandoned, including the dev's other works too. It's so sad to see such potential squandered, but alas, such is the fate of many an indie VN these days...

I don't know... wanted to give it thumbs up cause art is good, music is unexpectedly good and i liked in enough when i got it, but everything else is not really fine and objectively considering how Reject Demon never got continuation it cannot have thumbs up. Straight line VN, without any choice that is trying to lure you with lewd content i guess and premise of maybe interesting story, however - this is just a prelude, a taste, before even first chapter, so there isn't much of anything present - short, no fully fleshed out character characters, not much of action, just start of the story, not even lot of adult content. So maybe it's worth it to get with good discount, even considering how low full price is, but otherwise not sure if it deserves to be added to anyone's library.

It was for the most part enjoyable, but it died. This was supposed to be a prelude of a story. It came out back in 2015 and looked decent. But now we have 2022 and no continuation. Which is a shame, the game was rather fine. So yeah, unresolved story plots are just bad. This game also just lacks any real gameplay. No choices, no mini-games, It's a slideshow. The dialogues are mostly fine, but not great. Same with the artwork, It's mostly just okay. Certain images look a bit weird, not terrible. I've played some much better Visual Novels. This one isn't really worth much, in my eyes. Especially since the story is now abandoned. Who knows, maybe it will come out, I dunno. But right now: It's just not worth playing this. I have to give this game, my negative review. No real gameplay, no real ending, It's just no. You should simply look for some better novel.
