What can I say? Its getting better every sequel. Most epic storyline ever for match3 genre. I love how thw devs added a historical event like king Leonidas and Xerxes! Good job! I really enjoyed this game. The game started out fairly easy and progressed to more challenging levels. Levels above 20 to the end were very challenging and hence. I also had one times a hang up, when the didn´t match - but I just had to restart and start the level over... without this small bug the game could be ultimate in its class.8 found this helpful
It is an alright match 3 game, it is not bad, but it really doesn't do anything exceptional. The powerups are quite underwhelming for the most part and the buying mechanic doesn't really add anything to the game. I twice run into a bug where the game just wouldn't fill some slots on the board after a while. Once I could finish the level regardless, once had to restart. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (8.0-2).7 found this helpful
The Trials of Olympus III: King of the World is a basic mobile tier match-3 game. There are literally hundreds of these on Steam, there is nothing remarkable about this one. It's the kind of game you can play free on the web and on mobile, so it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay $5 USD for this on Steam.3 found this helpful
Final word: The game is broken and cannot be finished. Apart from game-breaking bugs, the problem with this game is that it doesn't do watch we take granted for in other Match-3 games: -unique and different coloured tiles that are easy to identify quickly -powerups that break crates & chains -a simple way of identifying what tiles need breaking (different shades of gold borders don't count) -swapping tiles with powerups do not negate the tile match This game has also been reskinned many times by the developer but at least there is new art and story, so I won't mark it down for that. However, there are several reasons I can mark it down: -No way to quit outside of a level -broken tile shrapnel gets in the way of play -chains make it hard to see tiles -too many chains -Automatic shuffle when no matches are available doesn't seem to stop the timer (and the animation takes a long time) Plus there are more bugs: 3+ tiles go unmatched, swapping tiles can cause powerups to activate, "exception" crashes. Also, by 81%, the difficulty go too high so had to switch off Timed Mode. This could only be achieved by "hacking" the game too. On a minor note, what/who is Angelique? I'm not into …2 found this helpful
TLDR: bad match 3 go get Candy Crush Uh so basically you don't want to ever match more than 4 because whatever power-ups spawn barely do anything and you'll still have to clear that tile because the game doesn't register it as a match I guess? The only power-ups that make you feel like you're actually doing something require you to match several of whatever element is pictured. The game is super grindy after you unlock all of the elemental power-ups and there's no real level variety. Soundtrack is basic but it's there I suppose. No custom cursor and I only played long enough to get one minigame that was essentially "match X element to win". Boring. Even 7 Wonders fells better and it predates this game by over a decade. 3/10.1 found this helpful
