"The True Tales of Bloodstreet 13 - Chapter 1" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "The True Tales of Bloodstreet 13". The True Tales of Bloodstreet 13 is a more-book-than-game CYOA adventure game where you control different characters, read badly written e-book text, and ramble around a (possible asset flipped) low quality cel-shaded environment looking for clues. Like if the Scooby gang was a painful game jam reject experience. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not The True Tales of Bloodstreet 13, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "The True Tales of Bloodstreet 13 - Chapter 1" too. Usually the purpose of these advertisements is to get you to shell out money to the developer to buy th…1 found this helpful
"True Tales of Bloodstreet 13: Chapter 1" — атмосферный хоррор с захватывающим сюжетом, наполненным загадками и мрачной атмосферой. Графика качественная, но не шедевр. Игра предлагает уникальные механики исследования и головоломки, однако повторяющийся геймплей и короткая кампания могут разочаровать. Звуковое сопровождение усиливает напряжение. Рекомендую тем, кто ценит атмосферные истории и готов проходить через сложности.
I like this, have to revisit continuously to explore and expand the story. Sadly it seems there is and will not be a chapter 2 to continue and end the story.
The story is very interesting! The 2D characters with the 3D environment is clearly inspired by Hotel Dusk, a game I played multiple times and which holds a special place in my heart. Very well done!! Maybe, just like in Hotel Dusk, there could be subtle animations from time to time (like when someone gets angry so they lean in, or surprised so their eyes widen and they lean back a bit! It gives the characters a little more personality and pizzazz) The controls were weird at first, but I could adjust to them very quickly so that wasn't an issue! The voice acting is cool, I enjoyed it a lot. Especially the voice of the narrator/detective! However, with the positives, there are also some points that I think need adjustment. I'll try to give my best feedback from completing the chapter. The first thing I noticed was the difficulty of trying to avoid the red dots and touch the blue dots when Veronique gets a panic attack. At first I just kept moving my mouse, but that made me touch more of the red dots. I quickly learned that it was easier to just keep still, but sometimes a red dot spawned right on my cursor. I feel like this part could use a bit more attention gameplay wise. A v…
The controls do not work properly. It makes the game difficult to play. And most of the time you don't know what to do.
