About The Walking Evil

GAME DESCRIPTION:

The Walking Evil takes you to the great classic of the survival horror of the 90s, where you guide the main character with a fixed system of cameras, which enhances the feeling of being in a real horror movie, or with the 3rd PERSON VIEW. Face plenty of trials, puzzles, and terrible enemies that will make you want to hide or even run away instead of wasting bullets on them. It’s an interesting detective story - there is nothing more wonderful than a twisted plot. The plot, which keeps in suspense from the first minute to the last.

STORY:

The player will take on the role of Detective Daniel Robinson, who is investigating serial murders. He will investigate a new case and meet various enemies. There are dark locations, as well as "unimaginable horrors" and dangers lurking around every corner.

“I am Detective Daniel Robinson. I'm working on a case of serial murder ... No fingerprints? And no witnesses. The body was discovered on Tuesday
morning. I hate this city. Who does this? 3 more corpses, 3 more victims. He acts systematically, calmly, and worst of

Asked to refund. The game have potential , but implementation have some gaps: 1. Plant(?) in the yard when you are able to open the yard the first time. Just killing you without any warning 2. Crawling zombies together with glitches in aiming logic. First one requires 12 shots. Second did not die after 20 + 30 kicks. At the end I just let it kill detective. 3. A lot of inconvenient points with map, contols and save I agree to strugle with environment and enemies but do not really want to strugle with the game itself probably in the dar far future I will try again but it will be certainly far futuere

Was willing to push through the tons of bugs and issues but the nail in the coffin is the difficulty changing when saving after closing the game. Other issues include no way to unflip the car, jankyness generally, lack of ammo, exit and quit should switch etc.

This was... not good. I liked it anyway, though. I knew what I was getting into when I saw it is made by a single Russian guy, and I was overall charmed by the first-game attempt at recreating Resident Evil. I'm just gonna give a list of pros and cons, and this is not a recommendation for anyone who isn't interested in either the technical aspects or the jankiness. Pros: 1. The driving is absolutely hilarious. 2. The driving has a turbo button for no reason. 3. Enemies include zombies, werewolves, and Audrey II-esque plants. 4. Shotgun feels good. 5. Charming Resident Evil vibes, but slightly more Noire in nature. Yeah, like a B-Movie Noire Film or something like that. 6. The werewolves are what happens when the virus infects dogs. The dogs become big classic werewolves. We turn into zombies, but they get super-strength and become a biped? I love it, it's so weird. 7. My edible kicked in towards the end of the game and it really made me enjoy the B-game qualities. 8. It's pretty short at under 3 hours, so it wasn't too high a mountain. Cons: 1. The aesthetic is ambitious, but does not stick the landing. 2. The lighting contrast is incredibly aggressive and it's ha…

The Walking Evil is a deliberately old-school survival horror experience that wears its influences proudly, aiming to resurrect the tension, pacing, and atmosphere of late-1990s genre classics. Developed and published by VikTor, the game places players in the role of Detective Daniel Robinson, whose investigation into a string of gruesome murders gradually spirals into a confrontation with forces far beyond rational explanation. From its opening moments, the game establishes a somber, uneasy tone, emphasizing isolation, limited information, and the creeping realization that the case at hand is not simply criminal, but profoundly unnatural. Exploration forms the backbone of the experience, with environments designed to feel claustrophobic and hostile. The use of fixed camera angles is a defining feature, often framing rooms in ways that restrict visibility and heighten suspense. Corners obscure threats, doorways feel ominous, and even familiar spaces become uncomfortable when viewed from rigid, cinematic perspectives. For players less accustomed to this style, the option to switch to a more traditional third-person view offers some flexibility, but the fixed angles remain central t…
