About Third Eye
Third Eye is a hack 'n' slash adventure game with its roots set in Indian culture. A game that is made by a group of 8 people putting in all their efforts to bring you the experience of a hack and slash adventure game made in India.
Time is endless in the endless wheel of life and death, beginnings and ends, and birth and rebirth. As that wheel moves, ages come and go and are forgotten to time, becoming nothing but dust in the wind. In one such spoke of the wheel, we come to the story of Prithvilok, a realm ruled by beings of energy that seem to be nothing but myths to us mortals. In this beautiful and mythical land, the never-ending battle between Good and Evil is at its penultimate chapter.
Raakh (Our hero), a dutiful son, is put into the hardest trial of his life when his father gives him the responsibility to be the guardian of the sacred trident. Meanwhile, as a hero rises, so must a villain!
Shukracharya, the most intelligent of the Seven Sages, has his own beliefs of the concept of good and evil.
Both of their paths collide as they both think that the actions that they are taking is in the best interest of mankind.
Aquaman without face gestures
Pros: + Challenging game (difficult even on easy) + Active development. Cons: - Unbalanced AI
Gameplay
It seems like you lose HP for just being near an enemy since there is almost no attack coming from any of them (maybe there is no animation at all). Also, when the character attacks he doesn't move from his position. You are not supposed to fall from the ground but some stages can trigger this if you get too close to some edges(the character automatically climbs some). Difficulty and AI There is a little problem when it comes to fighting bosses in this game. It is almost impossible to defeat them without abusing of certain aspects of the character like the "mana" (or resource to use skills). Same happens with most of the enemies. Some can be defeated with a single combo, meanwhile, others must be dodged and attacked from far due to their high damage. I have encountered certain problems like, some enemies that become invincible. With that, some disappear after a while but others stay forever waiting for you to restart the chapter (gladly this was fixed). In fact, there was a problematic amount of c…22 found this helpful
I can see that the Devs put a lot of effort into this game - and i can enjoy the old-school graphics and sound - but sadly the combat is horrid... here's why: -hit box on your weapon is waaay too small -enemies don't telegraph their strikes -its hard to tell when you've been hit -you can't cancel out of move-animations, like dark souls, but, this is supposed to be like bayoneta or god of war style where you're fighting multiple enemies from the start -you learn moves too slowly - even basic moves are considered an upgrade... I'll ThumbsUp as i can see they really tried hard - but it needs another few-weeks of work to get the combat flowing nicely!12 found this helpful
Definitely happy with the product and happy to support a studio like this. I have been waiting for a few years now in anticipation and happy to have my hands on it. I am biased, but it definitely fills that India/Hindu niche I have been searching for in a video game. The story is interesting, and I would like to keep playing. The gameplay itself is definitely hack-n-slash, which could use a bit of polish, but is still fun. It will take some getting used to as it is not quite easy to execute a combo and also work the dodging mechanic with a mouse and keyboard. I have been playing with a keyboard and mouse, but you might have an easier time with a controller, just my opinion. I also am not very good, so take it with a grain of salt. Only one minor glitch so far in 3 hours of playing so well done to the team for not pushing this out before it was ready. Hopefully they continue to refine it and support the game because this is a fun game at a low price and I would recommend if you enjoy this setting and genre.7 found this helpful
trust me when i tell you stay away from this game the only good thing in this game is the voice acting , that is all do not be fooled by the footage , it takes place way later into the game the first few hours is just severe grind for this game nothing else so you reach the time limit of the game
In this video I take a look at Third Eye, a third person hack'n slash adventure game. This game isn't perfect and initially felt a little B grade but after trying it for a while I discovered how good it was. The gameplay is straightforward, you mostly follow a set path and kill the enemies while picking up any upgrades you might find but the way they have implemented it, it becomes a great journey as you traverse some amazing environments to get to your destinations. There's a good story and some decent boss fights too. I think it's great and hope they continue to work on it until it's perfect. The voice acting in this is fantastic. Unfortunately, the gameplay is a total dumpster fire. It technically works but there is almost no feedback when you hit enemies. The enemies have little to no differentiation and don't seem to make any noise. There are combos but really, the main thing you do is click as if you were in a clicker game. I am not sure how this would become a good game. https://youtu.be/3_2TK-Cwkjs
