Time to Love

Time to Love is a free 2D action roguelike that mixes time travel, romance and co op combat into a pretty unusual package. I play as Orange or Purple, two characters travelling through different timelines while trying to stop reality from completely falling apart. The idea sounds a little strange at first, but I like that the game actually commits to it instead of using the time travel setting as nothing more than decoration. Each run takes me through different versions of the world, and the story slowly gives me more information about why everything has gone wrong. The three timelines are probably my favourite part because they give the game some much needed variety. I can fight through a medieval setting with liches, slimes, spellcasters and archers, then move into a western setting where I am dealing with guns and scorpions, before eventually reaching a futuristic world full of robots and abandoned factories. I like the way the gameplay changes slightly with each setting rather than just giving me a different background. It makes the time travel idea actually matter to what I am doing.
