Toriki: The Castaway Island

"Toriki: The Castaway Island" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Toriki: The Castaway Island" is a companion application to the similarly titled boardgame. If you download this thinking this is a game (because that's how they published this), you will find you cannot actually "play" it. Instead you must go out and buy a physical board game (a board game that was a dismal failure, by the way) and then you have to download and use this non-game application to play that board game. Ugh. So, this is also not free as it's tied to a physical goods purchase. And as a staunch advocate for gamers, one of the things that most gets on my pet peeves is when developers deliberately seek out to mislead gamers for profit, which is exactly what's going on here. This is not a game, yet it is published as one. This is not free, yet it is published as if it is. Misleading gamers and abusing Steam like this is wrong.
