Cute and easy point and click adventure. Nice artwork and story. Monkey island vibes with simple puzzles though.3 found this helpful
An absurd and satirical plot that reflects with too much accuracy some problems that really affect countries in real life. On a side note, Vamo arriba Uruguay loco siempre me gusta ver un juego hecho aca.1 found this helpful
So colourful and so very dark at the same time ^^1 found this helpful
A short point & click game with dark humor and biting commentary. The art and type of writing reminds me a bit of Citizens of Earth but more unapologetic. Be sure to check it out if its your vibe!1 found this helpful
The visual aesthetic, humor, and initial world building was nice, but the "puzzles" never really got more complex or harder as the game progressed, and overall the second half just felt very rushed, disjointed, and unexciting. There were the bones of a fun, humorous adventure with a dark, foreboding undertone, but in the end it sort of just...fizzled...and ended up NOT being that. I understand the idea of English not being developers' primary language, but the number of spelling & grammar errors went from charming, to annoying, to something I just had to ignore and move on from very quickly...a game of this length could easily have been played by a native English speaker in one afternoon and all those issues could have been addressed, so (apparently) choosing not to even make an attempt seems a bit lazy to me. Whole game took about 3 hours to beat, and when I was doing my recap with viewers on stream I even stated that I felt like the devs sort of stopped caring about content beyond the 2-hour mark because at that point I couldn't refund it, anyway. :D Gonna play it again to get the last two achievements I missed, but don't see replaying this again beyond that, and wouldn…
Tucked between an abundance of fetch quests and peculiar conversations with unusual characters, in essence Tourist Trap is a game about gaming, about escaping everyday life and playing as someone else, pretending to be a character in a story, basically becoming – for a short time – a tourist in a different world. While I do wish there had been more influence from player choice in the game’s finale, maybe even offering alternate endings that way, I was nevertheless left with a satisfied feeling when the credits rolled. It’s a fun game with a good sense of humor and an interesting story, and though it’s short and fairly basic, it does well what it set out to do. Including making me wary of where to go for our next summer vacation.… https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/3556/tourist-trap
