Tower of Madness

Tower of Madness is a third-person horror game where you play a cowboy trapped in a twisted, gravity-bending nightmare tower. It's got heavy Lovecraftian vibes with a little bit of Dark Tower thrown in for flavor, all about climbing your way up while fighting your own madness. Pros: ✔️ Nice Aesthetic: I really liked the overall look of the game. It definitely captures that eerie, dreamlike feel it was aiming for. ✔️ Shows Some Promise: There are parts of the game that show they had some cool ideas—they just didn’t always land the way I hoped. ✔️ Solid Vibe: Even if everything didn’t come together perfectly, the mood and setting still gave it that weird cosmic horror atmosphere I was hoping for. Cons: ❌ Doesn't Play Great: Movement and combat felt pretty rough. I found myself fighting the controls more than the monsters sometimes. ❌ Assets Feel Limiting: It felt like they had big ideas but were stuck using assets that didn’t fully do them justice. ❌ Story Didn’t Pull Me In: For a game that’s trying to be atmospheric and mysterious, the story just didn’t hook me the way it should have. The sound design is very well done in this game, just a few choice sounds that really stand out. the level design is also very creative and always interesting to look at. The art style and assets are pleasing to look at and create a unique look and feel. The story is told very simply, through notes and flash backs, but it is interesting and engaging. The only problem I faces was that the repeating of hallways got too repetitive as not enough changed on each loop, along with too many loops, that the game dragged at point. Overall a simple and well made game.

Good Concept gampleay is ass. Seriously, whenever you step a wooden board to reach another platform you just can go forward, like... If you are about to fall, you will just fall. You can't even relocate yourself over it or change your direction, just go forward and fall. Also, the move of the character is clunky, just faced a montser which i had to run away from and it's just nonsense, you can't avoid them at all or get of rid them. I don't know, I kinda like the concept behind this game and the art but the gameplay and controls can be frustrating, not sure if i'm gonna be able to finish this game.

Very rough around the edges, needs a lot of polish.

A bit too unpolished and, honestly, underwhelming for an interesting premise.

The visuals are great, the concept is solid, the price is great, but the gameplay is lackluster. After less than 15 minutes, I'm bored and not at all curious about what may come next.
