A dystopian setting far into the future at the same time feeling very familiar. A Sci-Fi story with well written characters, weird technologies, twists and turns. It doesn't waste a single second with long descripitons that bores you to death. Join Garrett's journey into discovering Deus Magnus' world of tyranny.4 found this helpful
A Must-Play Steampunk Sci-Fi Adventure – Transregnum Transregnum has been an absolutely thrilling experience, packed with strong, well-developed characters and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. From its gripping narrative to its stunning world-building, the game delivers an unforgettable journey filled with surprises, intense emotions, and thought-provoking themes. If you’re a sci-fi fan or someone who enjoys graphic novel-style games, this title deserves a top spot on your must-try list. The fact that it was created by only two individuals is truly impressive—it’s a testament to their hard work, passion, and dedication. The game masterfully explores family dynamics, personal struggles, and the consequences of our choices, all set against the backdrop of a beautifully crafted steampunk universe. Every second I spent playing Transregnum was an absolute joy. The cohesive and well-structured storyline blends seamlessly with breathtaking visuals and an immersive soundscape, making every moment feel alive and emotionally engaging. The game doesn't just entertain; it pulls you into its world, making you reflect on deeper themes of life, morality, and love. What m…2 found this helpful
An interesting albeit very dark sci-fi story set in the megalopolis of Rotamea -a post-apocalyptic city filled with robots and ruled by bloodthirsty elites. As is customary with science fiction, this tale imagines how society might adapt to technological disruptions. Robotics, false memories, mind control... are technologies that are very relevant in today's society. These are paired with timeless themes of authority, justice, identity, faith, fate, anger, hatred, revenge and love, to sketch an imaginary reality that mirrors many of the underlying anxieties of our age. Overall, this feels like an existentialist piece with a futurist setting. A surrealist work bringing questions of identity to the forefront. "As above, so below" becomes almost a mantra in this game, and while I won't tease out all the meanings of this phrase, it's obvious that it applies to the central character and his relationship to Rotamea. Indeed, both are experiencing deep turmoil, they are not proud of who they are, they don't feel healthy, they are searching for who they truly are. Factions battle across the city like thoughts battle inside our protagonist's head. While the game is currently still a little…2 found this helpful
