About Try to Wake Up : The Legend of Trevis
Detailed description :
You play the soul of a person who has fallen into a coma.
You find yourself trapped in Trevis' dream. Trevis was a man who also fell into a coma, but he never woke up. His body disappeared, but his soul now wanders between worlds, welcoming other lost souls...
His goal? For you to keep him company for eternity...
Go through a maze of similar rooms and find the anomalies. If there's one anomaly, take door 1, if there are 2, choose door 2...
If you don't want to return to the starting point, find the right exit. But be careful, your time is limited.
Loop/Repetitive Space:
The rooms may sometimes look very similar, but each one has at least one difference. Can you find it? If you choose the wrong exit, you'll return to the original room.
Oppressive Atmosphere:
This game has a tense, sometimes oppressive atmosphere.
Maze and Spot-the-Difference Game:
Find the correct number of anomalies compared to the original room. The number of anomalies you find will indicate the door you should open.
Are you ready to try and escape this deep sleep?"

Players appreciate this anomaly detection game as an accessible entry point to the genre, with engaging gameplay that involves spotting differences across repeated room iterations within a creepy horror atmosphere. The eerie ambient details like unsettling mannequins and sound design create tension effectively without relying on cheap jump scares, and the game can be completed in roughly two hours with all achievements unlocked. However, some feel the game's modifications to the typical anomaly formula don't quite improve upon the established formula that other similar games have perfected.
Changes the loop anomaly a bit, but not exactly for the better. The game opens with a car wreck as something jumps onto the road and you attempt to dodge it. The accident puts you in a coma. However, this is not a regular coma since there is an urban legend that someone named Trevis would steal your soul unless you find a way out and wake up. The legend turns out to be true. Although this appears to be a regular horror indie game, it is actually a game with anomalies. If you are new to this type of game, the rules are simple. All you need to do is go through multiple rooms and look for anomalies, often known as differences. The first room is always the default one, and all subsequent rooms must be compared to it. This game shakes things up a bit. Unlike most similar games, which allow you to choose between one or no anomalies, there is always an anomaly. A room can include one to four or more anomalies, and your objective is to proceed through the numbered door that corresponds to the number of anomalies. The room is small. There are a few of bookcases, several paintings, several pieces of furniture, and a few minor items. This means that anomalies should be easy to detect bec…5 found this helpful
A First Experience With An Anomaly Detection Game Playing my first anomaly game was an interesting experience that took a little time to get into, but once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed it thoroughly and it went fast to finish the game. The gameplay is straightforward yet engaging: you’re placed in the same room repeatedly, tasked with spotting subtle differences each time helping you choosing the right door. It took me about two hours to finish the game and get all the achievements. The game has a slightly horror/scary vibe, but it doesn’t rely on jump scares, which I appreciated. Instead, the tension comes from eerie details (sounds, room effects, voices, objects)—especially the mannequins that watch you with unblinking gazes, their heads and eyes always tracking your movements. It’s a clever use of atmosphere that adds to the game’s psychological horror. One note of caution: my girlfriend, who played a bit, experienced some motion sickness from the lighting effect. The rooms are often dark and the focused lighting can feel intense against the darker surroundings, so be aware of this if you’re prone to motion sensitivity. Overall, this indie title was a pleasant surprise. I…1 found this helpful
