I don't think any of them are bad per se, but they just weren't quite for me. I do think they're of good quality however, and think some people will use them as a way to get a taste of what Trash Vomit Studios makes.

Hermit's premonition - fine puzzle game about pushing blocks and wacking maggots with a stick Crazy brain - pinball, a little buggy, but its still just pinball The pain - fun tank control 2d platformer, couldnt finish it (idk if you can finish it) Drone training - bullet hell, random as hell with the drones The world - just a neat looking map for some other game Extras - concepts for dev's other games, cool if you are intrested about his other games Fine package overall

Like the meat and cheese sample platter at the grocery store. This is a great nibbling introduction to the larger games Trash Vomit Studios has to offer.

Steam Players: It's a neat little package that shows you what this dev is all about. And I mean that in every sense of that expression. For me personally I didn't really click with this collection of prototypes. But given this is free and still made with heart, a unique atmosphere, and charm, if you're intrigued about any of the games or the dev's output this is a no brainer to try. Just be prepared for some jank. The game features some great extras as well including the developer sharing their timeline of work, some concept art, maps, and lore. Dev: It's very clear you have a really set idea and vision for things in terms of aesthetics, lore, atmosphere, design intent and philosophy, but the execution controls-wise does not match the intent. The timeline reads to me that you are an artist with a genuine interest to improve and deliver on your vision, so I offer this as a friendly critique. "TVS Sample Box" is a collection of completely garbage minigames/tech demos from the aptly named "Trash Vomit Studios". There's a plethora of pointless, badly made minigames, all derivative ripoffs of other better games. Examples include a pinball/Breakout clone, a Sokoban ripoff and so on... nothing at all of value here, 1990's Flash games offered a better engagement and value proposition than this does. So each of these minigames look like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game bundle is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers.
