Spoiler-less Umineko: Golden Fantasia Review
As condensed as I could get this while getting as much as I want to describe FIRST OFF: This game's Community Edition (under the game's Properties > Betas) fixes certain bugs (i.e uncapped framerate causing uncapped game speed, soundtrack resetting whenever you "Restart" in Training Mode) and adds the ability to set controls in the menu. There's some nice things to have, such as the ability to turn off Screen Shatters (if you don't want those), and hitbox display in Training. It also adds some stability to the netplay. I strongly recommend playing on that version to get a better experience. Umineko: Golden Fantasia is a 2v2 fighting game based on the Umineko: When They Cry visual novels. The controller binding doesn't really work with PS4 controller. Its a hassle to trial and error.

I love Umineko, but this has to be the worse game I've ever played. I spent an hour trying to map the buttons on my Xbox controller, and even then I couldn't find an optimal way to play this game. The control stick movements do not register properly most of the time, so I've had to the move the left control stick anti counterclockwise for it to even work, but even then it still doesn't manage to register the movements. The menu being on the right analog stick doesn't make much sense either. I'm incredibly disappointed, this seemed like a fun game to play, but the controls on this game do not work properly even after mapping them out multiple times and testing it out. At least I got a Lambdadelta and Bernkastel card drop and a background for my troubles, but this game is not worth it.

Genuinely one of the worst static fighters I've ever played. I rather ♥♥♥♥ in my hands and clap then play again. Steam please refund me my money
