ep ranking for answer arcs: 7>8>6>5 overall ranking 7>3>8>4>6>5>1>2 (i loved all of them + this will probably change) i finally finished umineko after 3 years and i will never forget this indescribable experience. i spent the last 4 hours of the vn sobbing, knowing i was getting closer to the truth and ending. episodes 7 and 8 were truly the highlights of the answer arcs. ep7's revelations changed how i viewed the mystery in umineko. finding and understanding the answer makes you WANT to believe in the magic side of umineko after you just spent 100 hours trying to DISPROVE that fantasy "nonsense". the obscurity of the truth is only a fraction of what umineko is. the importance of love and acknowledging your human heart matters more than the harsh reality. what you do with your truth and how you plan on continuing in life is what matters. while i do believe ange and us readers always deserved to know what happened on rokkenjima, the ambiguity, aka beatrice's catbox, of umineko is what makes it shine. it becomes a true mystery that isn't solved until YOU solve it (or if you go read the ep8 manga lol). i love knowing i can come back and find new things to interpret to solve th…

" Erika carries EP5 and partly 6 for me, playing this modded is essential as the added voice acting and PS3 backgrounds and sprites are absolutely peak (especially those Erika lines). EP6 + EP7 are essential for solving the mystery of Rokkenjima, and EP8 is a good emotional finale with some crazy moments and awesome peak Bernkastel logic puzzle. Soundtrack of this game is second to none, it's one of the best OSTs i've heard. Simply by the existence of this game, this level of reasoning is possible for Erika Furudo!

It was a beautiful story, I didn't understand everything and I'm still processing it, but I cried during the ending and I keep thinking about it nonstop. Emotion keeps coming over me and it's hitting hard as I process the story more and more. The story didn't go where I expected and the meaning behind everything that has been shown throughout the arcs surprised me, but in a good way. I love the complex characters, everyone has reasons for why they act the way they do. I love all the drama with the villains, they're very theatrical. I love ryukishi07's art style and his sprites have good facial expressions. The soundtrack in this is mindblowingly good, it might be the best part of this visual novel. It's convoluted and can be tedious, it will take you a long time to read, but I find the patience to be worth it. No matter what I deeply respect ryukishi07 for writing something so earnest, for wanting to write a story to help people who are struggling and spread happiness with the message he believed in and he wanted to show.
