Gave this a shot for some weekly shooter nights I run and we had a blast. And Free is always a good price to pay. Some more maps would be nice, but the ones here are at least fun. Well worth a shot.1 found this helpful
I love this game.
A few people I know run a retro FPS night once a week and this came into rotation. I didn't really expect much considering it was free, but it was actually really good - a great mix of Unreal Tournament and Quake. Level design was good, but a few more maps would have been cool. LOVED the chainsaw - I had better luck mowing down my friends with the chainsaw than the other weapons, I was being a menace! haha! Really really impressed by this, even more so that it was free. Well done Double Time!
Very impressive for what it is. - Maps are well designed, have good art direction but also have easy to remember layouts that are intuitive to explore. - Weapons work great, feel great, look great, and with only a few minor exceptions sound great. - Multiplayer bots are very well made, not perfect but significantly better than expected. Fun to play against. - Super charming aesthetic, really feels like the arena shooters its inspired by. - The movement isn't oldschool-twitchy with rocket jumping and b-hopping or newschool-twitchy with sliding, dashing and wall-jumping, making the game extremely approachable. Extra note: - Default settings have FOV set to something like 70 like you're playing on a living room TV. - The options include a lot of settings for fine-tuning controller support. - The multiplayer has local split-screen.
this game has pretty good gun play and movement but not many players and it can probs run on anything i have a horried laptop and i ran it like nothing
Love new style art world buliding remind of Quake. and Bots support is even better!
