I was pleasantly surprised by this game! I didn't expect to get attached to the characters so quickly and the storyline had me invested. The amount of content with Matt was ASTOUNDING, considering I went into the game only thinking there would be a slight hint of romance! 10/10

"Up until the end - Otome/Visual Novel" isn't a game. It's an e-book dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual novel/e-book/fan-fiction, this has no notable gameplay. It's just clicking through badly written dialogue that would never be accepted in print by an actual professional publisher. How did something this badly written end up on Steam? When someone can't get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam Direct under the guise of a game. This is yet another high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. The topic of this one revolves around the authors fantasy of falling unconscious in a library (weird place to get roofied) and waking up in a hellish firescape, and also at the same time dating a badly drawn anime dude (the authors imaginary boyfriend). Okay. The writing is incredibly cringey. This was made using the Ren'Py kit, which lets people who aren't developers create godawfully bad e-books that they then pretend are actually PC games. Just like no real writing talent was involved in this garbage, it's no surprise that no real software development happened here either. Ren'Py is just a shortcut for polluting the stor…

Рисовка приятная, персонажи симпатичные и каждый со своей уникальной историей. Особенно понравился саундтрек, который отлично передает атмосферу происходящего. Если вы ищете что-то расслабляющее, чтобы приятно провести пару вечеров, эта игра – хороший выбор. Романтические линии развиваются интересно, хотя иногда хотелось бы чуть большей глубины в раскрытии чувств героев. Возможные концовки добавляют реиграбельности. В целом, игра оставила положительные эмоции и заслуживает внимания поклонников жанра.

What I remember of from when I placed this years ago is it made little sense and didn't have much of an ending.

It was just too tiring. I appreciate that the dev did the graphics without AI and it was all nicely done with many routes, but the story was just so inane. The plot did not make sense and there were plot holes and inconsistencies all over the place. It looks more like a wishful thinking based story not having many realistic elements. It is free so that is a big plus for everyone just to grab it and try but for me it was just a waste of time.
