About Valley of No Roads

Valley of No Roads is a city building puzzle, that creates beautiful sceneries while you find your way to expand it further. You place blocks of houses that come in different shapes and sizes, surround fields, towers, gain points for abilities and create bridges to cross lakes and rivers. In Valley of No Roads you can enjoy the view and build the town as you want it or try to make it as dense and optimal for competing at the leaderboards.

You start the game with few blocks made of houses, placing those on the corners of previous houses. Every area has its tasks to be fulfilled, requiring you to place certain amount of blocks, creating new bodies of water or migrating a market square to the area. These tasks vary and by fullfilling those, you unlock new parts of the map. You are rewarded of every block you place and every task you fullfill, so gaining points can be tricky!

Valley of No Roads has a strong focus on the sceneries you build, so you'll have full control over the camera and UI, just to get the most serene videos and screenshots. It also features day/sunset setup, that can be changed to fit your mood. Daylight is nice, but some of us love the humidity setting over the dim landscape.
Valley of No Roads has most of its features made, but I'm interested of hearing how you enjoy it and what kind of elements would you like it to have in it. As a solo developer, I'm all about listening the community and expanding the experience. Game will have a early update, bringing the level editor for users to create their own maps and share those with the community.

Tetris-like attempt on city building, not worth the time and money2 found this helpful
The game looks beautiful, and I wish I could say good things, but unfortunately, the game is borderline unplayable. The tutorial is worthless; it doesn't tell you the game controls, and there is no way to look them up. The gameplay expects the player to perform tasks that it doesn't explain how to accomplish. Anything you manage to build before you inevitably run out of pieces looks dead and lifeless. Look up Islanders instead, it's a much stronger version of what this wants to be.1 found this helpful
A clever concept of a game, however it is unplayable now. The achievements bugged out for me, despite reaching over 800 points in a game it locked me at 452 in achievement progress. I verified integrity of files, played a game; no change. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game on both HD and SSD and I got a change, but it was a screen where I could not click anything or reach the menu through mouse or keyboard. Re-verifying integrity of files does nothing to change this. I probably got this game on sale, but even a small amount would be a waste.
Low quality riddle game. Not worth any money.
A lovely and relaxing puzzle game.
It's a puzzle game, that cane be infuriating at times. I managed a highscore and i have no idea how i made it and has been unable to repeat it..
