Players appreciate this chill, aesthetically pleasing vaporwave pinball game with solid sound design and a relaxing vibe that can be completed in about 30 minutes. However, complaints center on physics issues like unresponsive ball behavior and unpredictable trajectories, plus frustrating level design where certain obstacles repeatedly force replays, undermining the relaxing experience. There are also some technical bugs including balls getting stuck on certain tables and score tracking issues when resuming mid-game.
Just a really nice, chill pinball game. It's much less complex that the full pinball tables you'll see at your arcade but it's fun to play and chill with for a few minutes2 found this helpful
Am I good at this game? No. Do I panic and hit both flippers and end up losing the ball too often? Yes. Does it matter? Not really. I enjoy Vaporwave Pinball great when I'm playing for the sake of playing, rather than gunning for a high score. The five tables have their own feel between the lovely aesthetics and their layouts, and the additions to plain pinball were interesting (going up to a sort of 'bonus round' high scoring layout but dropping back out if you touch the red X, the respawning obstacles which help or hinder depending on their layout leading you to wait or scramble as needed). However, trying to stay on top of your game for long enough to get a high score was tough for me, hence not focusing on scores, just letting that happen naturally. (The only thing it's needed for is unlocking tables, but the scores for that weren't too high). Great for a chill afternoon/evening when you need something low-stakes but engaging.
It first glance nice and relaxing, but at first level I see ball behaves unresponsive, sometimes changing trajectory into unpredictable direction or getting stuck and losing inertia inside of bouncy obstacles. Also it supposed to be relaxing, but quickly i get frustration by red cross obstacle, which reverts back to previous lvl. BALL ALWAYS TOUCHES THIS OBSTACLE forcing me replaying previous lvl. Not relaxing at all...
Very fun little pinball game. I've enjoyed my time with it so far! Its got around 5 levels, but each one had a handful of phases that get you more points the further you get in them. If you want a fun simple and nice aesthetic pinball game I would recommend it
MACINTOSH PLUS
It's exactly as advertised and fun to mess around with for a short while. I got it in a bundle and was pleasantly surprised at the sound design and music. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing 30 min or so, which is approx. about the time needed to 100% all levels.
This is a very neat game. Big fan of The BackRooms and Vaporwave type stuff. Did run into a few odd issues here in there. On the 5th table it is possible to get your ball stuck outside the table when it layers are changing. I had also gotten the ball stuck on this table shown in this post: https://bsky.app/profile/dishamonpow.bsky.social/post/3mddxx62jzs2w Another bug I have come across is if you exit a table mid-game and go back into the same table, your score carries over but the game will reset with all your balls as if it is a new game. The only other thing I could say is being able to check your high scores without having to enter each table. Overall a very neat game I will keep coming back to whenever I feel the need for pinball.
