About VGL: Imperative

You are a hired agent of VGL Corporation, whose activities are developed in many aspects of the industry. The next task for you is to find out the absence of a previously sent agent to patients who were treated for vascular diseases in the company's laboratory conditions. You will have to visit the patient's apartment, find out about the disappearance of the agent and pass the report to the corporation. The task is easy, but after you enter the apartment, the picture will change.
You will have to explore the apartment in the first person, solve several riddles, find the keys to the rooms and understand what the corporation is up to, for the benefit of their personal interests. But is this risk justified, because when we find out the secret, it will already be difficult to get out...
ATTENTION: The game contains elements of sudden appearance of sounds, to create a deeper effect of surprise and scenes of bloody violence, which will make you plunge into this atmosphere of real horror!

VGL: Imperative is a fairly basic Unity asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. The game is very very short and can be finished in about 15 minutes. Developers have at least some responsibility to provide enough content to make a game last more than 2 hours if they're serious about providing something of value to gamers. There's less content here than some free game demos. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't…

A very short horror game with a nice story. It's one of those asset games that most of these type of games have but unless you're super purist, they used them nicely. It doesn't look like a copy from other games. It's very straight forward "walking sim" with couple of jumpscares that actually did make me jump! There is very little customization to the game, the menu doesn't have any settings that lets you change controls or for example resolution so you're kinda stuck with whatever you have. I have widescreen monitor so that was a bit strange/awkward to play with. Still liked it, worth playing if you like short atmospheric horror <3

Pretty bad horror game. Very low effort aesthetics, cliché story and nothing but jump scares. The entire game had roughly one good scare in it, and unfortunately that was a jump scare. The narrative makes zero sense, and it doesn't help that the English translation is quite poor. The entire game is basically multiple "find the key to the next door" fetch quests with a few badly timed and predictable jump scares sprinkled in. There is no visual coherence between the environments, so I have to assume most of the assets come from different asset stores. The locations in the game lack detail and precision, the feel like someone just threw them together in Unity in half a day. Even if you like horror games, I'd avoid this.
