About Wenjia
The world of WENJIA is one that shifts between the realms of Matter and Energy.
The realms of Matter and Energy mirror each other in perfect duality. However, certain entities in the Energy Realm have evolved into matter-less sentient beings. The game’s kitten protagonist (a cat-shaped energy entity) and spirits are all examples of such beings. Pure energy entities can travel freely between the two realms. The story of WENJIA thus unfolds…

A forest’s longstanding tranquility is shattered by a sudden earthquake. As lava bursts forth from the ground, the mountain’s spirits find themselves surrounded by fiery death. By controlling a kitten, the player must overcome numerous obstacles in the wild to reach the burning heart of the mountain and rescue the spirits before it’s too late.

Fun side scrolling platform game from what I have played of it enjoyable eventually I'll pick it back up and continue to the end of this one but I would say its worth picking up to play even if you want to wait for it to be on sale.2 found this helpful
On paper this game ticks so many boxes for me, but even as short as I've read it is, I doubt I'll bother to finish it. + Pros: Beautiful visuals, magical cat protagonist, nice soundtrack, interesting enough story premise, potentially cool "realm shifting" game mechanic - Cons: "Realm shifting" mechanic quickly becomes more tedious than cool, environments are broken up into a ton of short, mostly-linear "missions" to find energy balls that don't actually do anything, gameplay starts to feel repetitive VERY quickly, English translation of both text and VO are bad enough at times to be kind of distracting Overall, I'm really disappointed with this purchase. I feel like a more satisfying way to experience this game would be to watch an edited-down "let's play" video on YouTube or something. The parts of the game that I found enjoyable are not parts that required any input from me, and certainly were not worth $8.99.1 found this helpful

It's hard not to look at Wenjia and start making a million comparisons to Ori. It borrows heavily from the game both visualy and auidibly. It's also incredibly short and if speedrun, will take less than an hour to complete. 2-3 if played leisurely or achievement hunting. The story is also rather impossible to follow and also terribly translated into english. But with all that in mind, I still can't help but recommend it. It's beautiful, has nice sound and so long as you judge it at face value for it's gameplay gimmick of platforming between light and dark worlds and also as a game for people who don't have alot of time to game, then it's actually quite fun and worth an hour or two if you have some free time
Yes.
The only thing to bear in mind is that if you're left-handed and use keyboard controls they are not customisable. I had to play with my hands crossed over each other and had to give up as the last bit was challenging and left me with numb hands and a very sore wrist. Even so I really liked the game itself.
