About Within a Dead City
It ain't easy running an Adventurer's Guild.
You have to deal with monster attacks, angry gods, and cowardly heroes. Money can solve a lot of problems (and motivate cowardly heroes), but a good strategy demands more than just bags of cash. You'll need to guide heroes as they grow from rookies into champions.

Let someone else do the dangerous work
There's riches to be found inside the dead city. Hire foolhardy and fearless adventurers to bring it back to you! Heroes will act on their own accord: slaying monsters, raiding lairs, and defending your guild outpost. Try to keep them out of trouble - their greed can lead them to bite off more than they can chew.

Find forbidden knowledge within ancient ruins
The old gods are jealous gods, and they will do all they can to keep their temples safe from intruders. Balance economic growth against steadily growing corruption. Defend your outpost from the encroaching monster lairs. Research ancient technologies and cast powerful spells. If you and your heroes can survive in the ruins, you'll be wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.

Outstanding potential. Wants to be majesty. Needs a lot more content, update frequency is questionable but they seem large and life is hard. Totally worth $3 at this time. A solid proof of concept w/ modest 'tip' to support development. 100% satisfied. Critique: Plays very fast. Almost manic. A lot happens quickly and spirals from almost loss to near win to probable loss and back in one session. Game play is pretty much autopilot. Never needed the bounty mechanic and beat highest difficulty by simply keeping ahead of the tide once I learned the flow. Heroes do just fine left to their own devices when well supplied. Hopefully with more content and fine tuning the developer can steer (or provide options for) a slower burn and longer build up (longer game and investment) like original Majesty. Graphics are cool, concept is great. The foundation is there. Looking forward to see this one progress. Thank you for your work. Advice to Dev: This would be awesome to build with graphics mods in mind, drop in monsters/lairs/heroes etc. Hope to see flavor text, lore, descriptions, unique item loots etc in the future!! If this was 3D I wouldn't trust it, but with your graphical direction …4 found this helpful
Absolutely stoked to see games with inspiration in Majesty. Really hopeful you continue with this genre!3 found this helpful
Budget Banger, got it due to the RTS Fest that informed me about it. - Took me about 3 Hours to beat the campaign - Dollar to Time ratio is typically a dollar for an hour, so all in all, I'd say it was worth it. Short & Sweet, didn't really overstay the welcome. Replayable but I don't often replay solo games unless it has meta-progression. Thanks for the game man, got excited once I realized what happened at the End & when I learned about the Gobbos. Only critic is that the Goblin maps feel a too small, and are overloaded with Rats, to the point I've literally watched Rats decimate the Goblin village. Maybe letting the Goblins expand overtime with a Townhall styled building of their own so they become a more dangerous threat the longer you take to kill them off, as well as being able to better defend themselves against the denizens within the dead city. - In addition, maybe the thought of other 'factions' arriving to take advantage of the Dead City may be interesting. Scavenger Bands or Undead Forces. The Majesty inspiration I found pretty fun & simplified, took me a few moments to realize what I was doing, specially in regards to the spells. One of the few games that have 'Lim…1 found this helpful
Fun game that can be beaten in an hour, a cut down version of Majesty that is fast-paced and still quite fun to play. Overall worth its price of 3 US Dollars.1 found this helpful
fantastic game in the vein of Majesty, not the same 45 minute missions but good break sized bites of gameplay1 found this helpful
Fun little game for the price. Can definitely get a couple hours of nostalgia out of it.
