Mayor of Defense

1) I love this game! 2) It's arcade Harvest Moon with some Tower Defense. 3) Its multiplayer! This game deserves much more attention and love.

An unusual hybrid between arcade and Harvest Moon that works very well. Very original and innovative. Its most challenging aspect is juggling between your tasks, stamina and resources, but eventually you get the hang of it. More options become available as you play; you can build walls, fortify your home, even work at a mine if you're short on cash. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but that's also a nice touch. I do wish it would have mentioned you need to go to the title screen to save your progress. I lost a good 20 days on my first run. Another issue I have is it's hard to quantify the effectiveness of mercenaries versus the oncoming enemies. By day 30 I'm throwing everything at them and the kitchen sink and all my guys are dead. Am I doing something wrong? If you want something new and addictive, this is the game for you, despite its often mysterious balancing issues.

If this was an alpha game or even a demo, I'd totally recommend it – despite the simplicity, it has its charm. However, it is a 2020 game, I'm disappointed. Mostly due to other comments, which did not point the lack of content. There is a single music (which grows in annoyance after a while), and not much to do. The single upgrade I've seen is a small fence. The mercenaries, despite posing different sprites, functions all the same. There are no classes, skills, or ranged attacks. This is a concept game. It had the potential to be a fun one – and it is, for about 10 minutes – but in the current state cannot call it anything more than a cute sketch.
