NINJA SLAYER NEO-SAITAMA IN FLAMES(ニンジャスレイヤー ネオサイタマ炎上)

Domo, potential buyer-san, this is my review. Neo-Saitama In Flames is pretty much everything I wanted in a Ninja Slayer game! It’s a hyper fast paced beat-em-up with low difficulty. The fun comes from making like Ninja Slayer himself by mercilessly mowing down hordes of enemies with flashy attacks, including the most famous shinobi technique: the Alabama Drop. Is the game a bit janky in spots? Sure, but doesn’t that just make it even MORE faithful to the source material? Like, come on, tell me explosive barrels inexplicably floating in midair doesn’t mesh perfectly with the chaotic vibe the series is going for. Any glitches that don’t crash the game should totally be left intact for this reason. If you like the anime or manga, this is a must buy. If you don’t, you should prepare your death haiku. YEEEARRT!!

I began to play the game and at first it wasn't so bad. There was a funny Ninja joke, and the music was really good, I had fun attacking enemies and knocking them aside during the training mode. I found that there's a ninja dash move that is really fun and you can chain it together to knock enemies around. When you kill enemies you generate a flashy high damage attack and if you die you get an invincible power up mode to have a chance at survival. I started to think that for a budget title maybe this wouldn't be so bad... ...and the first level happened, a rooftop stage. Jumping was inconsistent and awkward, enemies had ranged attacks that would stun you, as well as random missiles that would constantly fall. There was strange placement of explosive barrels, my basic attack had bad hit detection and any attack I made was weak. Jumping was too high, basic movement was over-tuned. It felt like playing a fps where the sensitivity is turned up so high and you can't hit anything. It's wonky and unbalanced. Feels more like a rhythm game where you go through waves of enemies like a knife through butter. The word "ninja" appears frequently in the game. This also includes the basic story where you’re placed in the role of a ninja slayer. You became this when your family died and the ninja god granted you extraordinary abilities to exact retribution. The gameplay is fast and includes button mashing because most enemies are sent flying into the background with a single punch. Aside from your main attack, you can take them out with a dash that can be used in any direction as long as you have stamina, as well as ranged shurikens, which are limited in supply. Although you can generate one by sacrificing one notch of your health bar, it seems too risky given how quickly you can die. 닌자 슬레이어 특유의 그윽함은 실제 풍부하나, 똥겜을 만들면 실제 똥겜! 다이달로스=상의 맵에서 풍겨오는 아트모스피어, 킬 존 스모토리의 마트 BGM 등의 원작 재현도가 괜찮지만 이정도 컨텐츠만 즐기고 도망치는 것을 추천하는 바, 본인은 그윽한 컨트롤과 난이도를 적응하지 못하고 산시타처럼 초반에 시간이 끌려 2.3시간으로 리펀드에 실패했다! 사 요 나 라 - !

What happened?
