Disclaimer: I am a Manager Career Mode player. In this review I pay attention to gameplay, team management and Manager Career Mode features - in addition to a piece about monetisation. Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs are fully ignored. The gameplay is okay. Goalkeepers have gotten more intelligent over years of development, but occasionally they still do weird things. Within team/tactics management, this game takes a step backwards compared to FC 24 by removing the option to create custom formations and player roles. Instead, you're forced to work with preset formations and player roles. A frustration for many, including me. When it comes to Manager Career Mode, the addition of a social media including the appearance of Fabrizio Romano (a transfer market influencer with little journalistic pedigree) adds very little to the experience. To me, the old news feed (present in FC 24 and in earlier EA SPORTS FIFA-games) brought forward updates better, including moving graphics at times which made the news feed feel alive.
